Visitor’s center

The Visitor’s Center at Eagle Island State Park is a great place to get more information about the park and its attractions. The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except for the holidays. There is no admission fee to visit the park, but swimming is at your own risk. The park also has a playground, volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits.

During the winter, the park transforms into Gateway Park, complete with a ski hill, sledding hills, and tubing runs. Visitors with their own gear are allowed free access to the park, but if you don’t have your own, you can rent tubes for $15. Two tubing runs are located on Eagle Island, and there is a separate section of the park for sledding. The park also offers non-motorized boating.
